Wayne Edward Shaw

Wayne E. Shaw, age 98, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born October 21, 1925, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of the late Clifford and Pearl Shaw. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, stationed in Germany. He retired from W. A. Stevens after a long career in concrete construction. He was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the Eagles.

Wayne is survived by his children: Ann Pearson, Tina Nelson, John (Tanya) Shaw, Tom (Brandy) Shaw, and Mary (Roger) Woods, siblings: Richard Shaw and Maxine Shepherd, sixteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years Marjorie Shaw; daughter, Brenda Anderson Shaw; grandson, Tom Osborne; brothers: Walter, Lester, and Charles Shaw, sisters: Ethel Reeves, Kate Newman, Darlene Shaw and Mary Williams.  At the request of Wayne, there will be no services. A family gathering celebrating Wayne's life will be held at Bogey's Bar and Grill on October 19th, 2024, starting at noon.  He will be greatly missed.
