Steven L. Haas

Steven L. Haas, 75, of Enon passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton following a six month battle with cancer. He was born December 25, 1943 in Richmond, IN the son of Harold and Donna (Doddridge) Haas and, yes, he was a Christmas Baby. If he only had a dollar for every time he heard that, he’d be a rich man. Steve served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University in Muncie IN. He retired from Kroger as a Store Manager after a thirty-five year career. He love his kids, his grandchildren, his wife’s cooking, and Ohio State Football. Steve Haas was one of the finest men you ever wanted to meet. He is survived and will be missed by his loving wife of forty-six years, Betty; his daughter and son-in-law Amy and Randy Broyles; his son and daughter-in-law Brad and Tammy Haas; grandchildren Karley and Sydney Broyles, Isaac, Kennedy and Carson Haas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kim and Robb Baldwin; nephew and niece Brandon and Logan Baldwin; his wonderful mother-in-law Betty Baldwin and her husband and dear friend Ed Baldwin. He is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Philip E. Geron. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Steve’s life will be Wednesday at 1:30 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Mike Baldwin and Rev. Mike Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.
