Sheila A. Campbell, 83, of Medway, passed away October 10, 2017. She was born June 20, 1934, in the Parish of St. Andrew, Jamaica West Indies, the daughter of the late Llewellyn and Myra Cruchley. Sheila graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Constant Spring, Jamaica in 1951 and came to the U.S.A. for college, graduating from Regis College, Weston MA in June 1957 and Syracuse University Graduate School in June 1959, returned home and migrated back to the U.S.A. in April 1963, settling in Medway with her husband Conrad whom she married in January of 1963 at Holy Cross Church, Half-Way-Tree Jamaica with her cousin Denis J. Cruchley SJ officiating. She joined Sacred Heart Catholic Church and went on to join the faculty of Mad River Local Schools, Riverside, where she taught at Mad River Jr. High from 1968-1977 then transferred to Stebbins High School until her retirement in 1994. Sheila was a life member of NEA-R; OEA-R; WOEA-R; ORTA and MRREO. She also joined Delta Kappa International Society, Delta Kappa Chapter in 1980. Sheila was proudly sworn as a U.S. citizen in Dayton, OH on February 21, 1975. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Conrad; sisters Dr. Helen M. Jones and Mary Patricia (Richard) Bonitto; brother Richard G. (Marie) Cruchley; nephews Paul O. (Susan) Jones, Jr. MD, Richard H. (Tracy) Cruchley and Philip Bonitto; nieces Elizabeth Denlinger, Susan (Joe) Keough, Sarah Jones, Nicole (Michael) Long, Jacqueline Bonitto, Joanne (Robert) Schwartz; several great-nephews and nieces; very dear friends and neighbors Ernie and Nancy Hutson and family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. Visitation will be Friday from 9-10:45 AM in Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle. A mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com.
