Sharon Kay (Roberts) Foster-Carpenter, age 75, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on May 13, 2024. She was born on July 21, 1948 to the late Milton S. Roberts and Mary Lorraine (Strutt) Roberts. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Mark W. Roberts and husband, Steve Carpenter.
Sharon is survived by her daughters: Laura (Greg) Bethel and Amber Asher; grandchildren: Cassandra Bethel, Brittany Bethel (Tim), Cody Bethel, Damian “Nate” Asher, and Kenny Williford; great grandchildren: Blake Shafer, Ryleigh Shafer, Aubrey Akers, Landon Akers, Elijah Akers, Adalynn Akers, Holly Asher, and Layla Asher; brother, David L. (Carolyn) Roberts; sister in law, Toni Roberts; canine companion, Shelby her Pomeranian; as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Sharon graduated from Shawnee High School in 1966. She was employed at Kmart in London, Ohio for 16 years and at Emerson Climate Technologies in Sidney for 8 years. Sharon loved animals, flowers, and cooking. She also enjoyed board games, music and singing. Most of all, Sharon loved to spend time with her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, nanny, sister, and friend.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Richards, Raff, and Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 E. High Street, Springfield, Ohio. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Charlie Crider, will follow at noon. Sharon will be laid to rest at Kirkwood Cemetery in London, Ohio.
