Michael Eugene Wise

Michael Eugene Wise, 59 of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on November 12, 2024, after a lengthy and courageous battle with kidney disease.

Mike was born September 22, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the Late Oliver Fredrick and Alice Angeline (Eulitt) Wise.

Mike was always the life of the party and ready to show off his spot-on impression of the cowardly lion, for a laugh! Mike was a huge fan of anything 80’s, music, and his long, blonde-feathered hair, that he wished he still had.  Always the biggest kid in the bunch, he was the first one to turn on The Polar Express or Wizard of Oz.

Mike wasn't just partners in crime with the Kids, then Grandkids, for all their shenanigans, he was the Ringleader! The kids just dreamed up their ideas and Papaw helped carry them out while loading them up with all the best snacks, in the process....he was also their biggest fan and supporter!

Mike is survived by his Loving wife, Amy L (Ritchie) Wise, and children; Ashley (Justin) Brown and Jordan (Ashley) Nangle.

Brothers; William Fredrick Wise and Johnny Lee Wise, sister; Kimberly Nadine Wise.

Mike also leaves behind a host of Loving family members and close friends, Mother and Father-in-Law Barb and Roger Nestle; Sisters-in-Law, Angie (Charlie) Gaier, Jackie Ritchie, Nikita Ritchie and many others.

Mike was a favorite Uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was also a beloved cousin and nephew to many, all of whom he adored.

And lastly, he was the absolute best Papaw to grandchildren, Ashton, Mila, Dorian, and Oliver.

Mike had a special place in his heart for all animals, big and small. Over the years, many of his fur babies have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, before him. He leaves behind a very spoiled Shih Tzu named Lacey, who was his baby! Also, an entire yard full of squirrels which Mike trained to come to him for the peanuts he always kept on hand. Thank you to Dr. Kurian, the Staff and Patients at Davita Midwest Fairborn Dialysis who have been a tremendous source of support over the last couple of years. A very special thank you to Mike's PD Nurse, Rose, who is the most patient and thorough nurse. I am convinced she was a Godsend!

Mike was so dearly Loved and will be deeply missed....no matter what, he was always positive and smiling all the time.

We ask family and friends to please join us for a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Greater Life Springfield, 200 Snyder Street Springfield, Ohio, with Pastor Paul Dowdy, officiating.
