Michael L. Davis, Sr.

Michael L. Davis, 60, of Springfield passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021. He was born May 17, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Robert Edward, Sr. and Diane Maria Davis. Mike retired as Chief Master Sergeant from the U.S. Airforce. During his 28 years in the Air Force, he was stationed or deployed in Ohio, Alaska, New Mexico, Iraq, U.A.E, Qatar, Germany, South Korea, Guam and Japan. He was always happy to volunteer for the Special Olympics, numerous children’s sports organizations and Boys & Girls Club no matter where he was stationed. Mike was also a member of Medway Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Teresa Malony. Mike is survived by his wife Maricel; sons Michael (Elisabeth) Davis, Jr., Kekoa (Byanka) Davis and Matthew E. (Breanna) Davis; daughters Maile Davis and Starlyn Terry; brothers Robert E. (Nancy) Davis, Jr. and Doug Davis; sister Carol Lee Davis; step-mother Arline Davis; grandchildren Michael Davis III, Aubrey Davis, Gavin Pajela, Giselle Davis, Keanu Davis, Maizley Davis, Gaitlyn Davis, Cayden Elam and Madilynn Pund; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 5-7pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
