James Murphy

James "Jim" Murphy, 84 of New Carlisle, passed away November 28, 2021. He was born November 19, 1937, in Council, Virginia to the late Elijah & Rose Murphy. Jim retired in 1998 from the Navistar Assembly Plant after many years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 3491. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Blair, Anita (Sam) Browning & Janet Le Master; son, David Murphy; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Maynard, Cecil Wayne, Elijah Harlan Jr. & three sisters, Alma Rasnake, Mary Faye Hass, Zella Mae Mills: his ex-wife Eliza Jane Skelton. Graveside services will be held at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn, Ohio, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 1pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made at trostelchapman.com
