Howard L. Baker

Howard L. Baker, 97, of Troy, formerly of Coffin Station passed away on July 12, 2016 in Brookdale of Troy. He was born on October 23, 1918 in Clark County, Ohio, the son of Charles and Mae (Laughlin) Baker. Howard was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Jane Baker; daughter Nancy Ellen Baker; step-daughter Connie Westfall; infant step-son Jerry Brumbaugh; two brothers; and six sisters. Howard is survived by his wife of 28 years Martha I. (Crist) Baker; sons Lloyd (Renee) Baker, John (companion Emie Hester) Baker and Paul (Sandra) Baker; daughters Mary Anne (Paris) Eldridge and Beverly (Ezra) Wray; step-sons Charles (Marlene) Brumbaugh; step-daughter Phyllis (Gerald) Miller; Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 PM and 5-8 PM in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Donnells Creek Old German Baptist Church, 3565 N. Hampton Road, Springfield, OH.
