Chad Alan Gibbons

Chad Alan Gibbons, 35 of Dayton, OH, Husband, Son, Brother, Friend, Uncle, Nephew, passed away on Tuesday August 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 11, 1988, the son of Gene Gibbons and Karen (Roberts) Kesler.  Chad was a 2006 graduate of Wayne High School where he completed the welding program at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center. He continued his studies at the Greene County Adult Career Center pursuing his passion of welding, acquiring numerous certifications including his favorite specialty, TIG welding. He served at GE/Unison Industries (Aerospace) for 13 years, working his way up through the company as a Welder, Engineer Tech, and his current role of Lead Manufacturing Specialist. Throughout his time with GE, Chad traveled extensively to India, The United Kingdom, and Poland where he enjoyed sharing his passion for welding and aerospace. Chad brought joy and a listening ear to everyone in his life. He loved weightlifting, spending time with friends, and had a smile that could light up a room. Family was most important to Chad, and he lived for his wife and entire family. His strength, determination, and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Chad was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Glen and Ann Gibbons.  Chad is survived by his loving wife Amy (Jones) Gibbons; parents, Karen (Eric) Kesler and Gene Gibbons (Robin Jones); brother Joshua Sandberg; Sister-in-law Robynn Sandberg; nephew Jarron Sandberg; Father-in-law Speed Jones; Mother-in-law Alice Jones; Sister-in-law Amanda Jones; maternal grandparents, Irwin and Linda Roberts; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Chad will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched.

A time for family and friends to gather and honor Chad’s legacy will be held on Wednesday August 9th 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at The Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, 507 Jefferson St, New Carlisle, OH, 45344, where funeral services will be held on Thursday August 10th 2023, at 12:00pm.
