Marilyn Eileen Butschillinger

79, years old of Tipp City , Ohio passed away July 14, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Ron Butschillinger; children, Deborah (Stuart) Morris, Cherri (Larry) Riffell, Terri (Gary) Ginter & Randy Butschillinger; grandchildren & great grandchildren; brothers & sisters:Grant & Roger, Philip (Yvonne) Artz, Helen Weaver, Phyllis (Morris) Helton, Barbara Stahly, Evelyn (Wayne) Stauffer. She was preceded in death by granddaughters, Abby & Emily; brothers, Wesley (Lorene), James (Esther), David, Clarence (Jean); sister, Isabelle (Sam) Hinkle. Born to Floy and May Artz, she later married Ron Butschillinger, June 13, 1958, and they were parents of Deborah, Cherri, Terri & Randy. Marilyn graduated from Wayne High School in 1958 and in 1973 received her LPN degree at Dayton School of Practical Nursing. She was a nurse at Dayton Children's Medical Center for 37 years, and 25 of the years as pediatric assistant. She received the Elsie Mead Life Time Achievement award and worked as chairperson of the annual Cystic Fibrosis garage sale to earn money for camp fees of CF patients. Marilyn did this sale with the help of many staff and family members. She also worked at the camp itself. On March 30, 2020, at the Hospice Facility of Dayton, she received the Nursing Honor Guard Recognition Tribute for commitment to care and service as a nurse. Marilyn's love of nursing, sports and spending time with grandkids was a special part of her life, She also enjoyed travel with Ron and family and time at Nettles Island, Jensen Beach, Florida. It was there she taught water aerobics classes. In Ohio, she and family members had the Artz Family weekend reunion. Getting together with family and friends was also special to her. The family expresses thanks to the staff at Hospice of Dayton and Miami County. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to preferred charities. Gathering of family and friends will be 2-4 PM, Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 4 PM in the funeral home.
