Gregory G. Smith

Gregory G. Smith, 76, of Medway, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was born March 15, 1945, in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late William and Hilda Smith. Greg was a proud retired U.S. Army Veteran, serving for 35 years. He also worked and later retired from GM Moraine Engine and DMax. Greg was an avid golfer and loved to play cards and dice with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Christopher "Todd" Smith; and sister-in-law Karen Smith. Greg is survived by his wife of 21years Linda Smith; sons Bryon (Jennifer) Smith, Aaron (Sheena) Smith and Scott (Wendy) Sandstedt; daughter Denise (Jeremiah) White; step-daughters Sara (John) Greider, Breanne (Rodney) Demmitt and Jessica (fiancé Glenn Tate) Minnick; brother Dan Smith; sister Sandra Smith; grandchildren Edward Andrew (Rachel) Parmer, Lauren Staebler, Megan Staebler, Taylor (Alicia) Macey, Maddison Minnick, Bridget Minnick, Mason Demmitt, Kaylee Demmitt, Zoe Smith, Ava Smith, Kayla Workman, Matthew Sandstedt and Scottie Sandstedt; great-grandson Bennett Parmer; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 10am-12pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, with the funeral service to honor Greg beginning at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
