CONNOR, Jr., William D. (Bill) 79, of The Villages, FL, formerly of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away on August 26, 2015 at the Ohio Masonic Home, Springfield, Ohio. He was born on December 11, 1935 in Springfield, Ohio to William D. & Helen Connor. Bill served 4 years in the Air Force before his employment at WPAFB as a computer system analyst. He retired from WPAFB in 1995 so he and his wife, Ruth could enjoy ocean cruises, bingo, card games and their summer place on the Ohio River with their family. Survivors include his wife Ruth Ann (Johnson) of 55 years, son: William Scott Connor (Julie), daughter: Karen (Robert) Lokai, 4 grandchildren: Megan Lokai, Jake Lokai, Cassandra Connor and Coleton Connor, 1 great grandchild: Bryce Robert Lokai, all of New Carlisle, Ohio, 2 sisters: Eunice (Charles) Bronkar & Rebecca Bright, sister-in-law Drena Connor and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Bill was a dual member of the Masonic Lodge # 100 in New Carlisle, OH and Lodge # 394, The Villages, FL, along with Scottish Rite of Ocala, FL. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Doctors, the 4th Floor Rehab staff at Miami Valley Hospital, the 3rd floor Nursing Staff at Ohio Masonic Home and other caring friends at the Masonic Home. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM with services directly following at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens after services. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Alzheimer's Family Organization of Florida, the Ohio Masonic Home or donor's choice.
