William "Bill" Smith

William “Bill” Smith, 83, of New Carlisle, passed away in his sleep on the morning of July 30, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1938, in Zanesville, OH, the son of the late Vernon and Harriet Smith. Bill was a graduate of Roseville High School and Marietta College, Class of 1960. He was proud to be from Cannelville, OH and was a member of Cannelville Methodist Church. Bill loved his boys, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a homebody lately, except to go to the Mel-O-Dee Restaurant for conversation and a good meal. He was a member of New Carlisle Lodge #100 F&AM and the Elm Valley Fishing Club. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; son William Brett Smith; and ex-wife Barbara Molitor. He is survived by his sons Bob Smith and Brian Smith; grandchildren Paige, Erik, Landon and Caroline Smith; and great-grandchildren Mya, Peyton and River.
