Warren C. Sully, 88, went to be with the Lord October 28, 2024 at Carolina Inn Assisted Living in Fayetteville, NC. He was born March 30, 1936 in Chelsea, MA, the son of William Sully and Elsie (Joyce) Sully. Warren graduated from Chelmsford High School, MA class of 1954. He served in the National Guard and USAR in NM where he met his future bride. In 1959, he married Betty Ann Benadum. They moved to St. Louis, MO and later settled in OH. Upon retirement from his Civil Service position as a Computer Specialist, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in theology and his Master’s of Ministerial Counseling. He dedicated the rest of his life to helping others as a hospital and nursing home Chaplain. Warren loved traveling internationally for mission work and for pleasure. Later he enjoyed reading from his collection of books, drawing, painting pictures and building models of old ships. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. He was a special friend. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Betty A. (Benadum) Sully, son Warren David, daughter Laura Ruth, brother William, and sister Marjorie. Surviving are his daughter Bethany (Sully) Peters and her husband Michael of Hope Mills, NC; two grandchildren, Nicolas Tan-Hiep Peters and Courtney Tuong-Van Peters; two sisters, Judith O'Brien of Calhoun, GA and Bonita Sully of Santa Barbara, CA; many nieces and nephews. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. on Friday Nov. 8 at Richards, Raff and Dunbar Funeral Home 838 E. High St. Springfield, OH followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m officiated by Rev. Dick McIntosh. Warren will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to: Hay St. United Methodist Church 320 Hay St. Fayetteville, NC 28301.
