Voyce L. New

Voyce L. New of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016. He was born in Cedar Hill, Ky. The son of the late Robert and Dortha (Morrow) New. A man of strong Christian faith. He was a deacon at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and loved his family and his church family. Voyce enjoyed walking, traveling, time spent with grandchildren and strawberry ice cream. He went back to school and got his GED. He retired from Klosterman’s Bakery. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty J. New. They had two daughters; Belinda Stewart of Springfield, Oh; Theresa (Werner) Wilson of Marysville, Oh; three brothers; Eugene (Emma Lou) of Somerset, Ky; Junior (Norma) of Union City, In; Jason (Jeraldine) of Titusville, Fl; Three sister-in-laws; Jewell Fields; Margie Anderson; Vicki (Don) Hamlin; Six grandchildren; Jeremy (Joni) Taylor; Amanda (Justin) Slaven; Matthew (Megan) Taylor; Jacob Wilson; Ashlee Wilson; Meranda Wilson; Seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and neighbors that he loved dearly. Voyce was preceded in death by his sisters Ima Shelton, twin sister Joyce Dishman, and a grandson Joshua Taylor. Services to honor Voyce will be Thursday at 2:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Rev. Clayton Brooks officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon.
