Virginia Maxine Junk of Springfield, Ohio passed on March 28, 2016 in Eaglewood Care Center. She was born November 16, 1928 in Clark County to the late William Elbert Cartmell, and Thelma Marie Smith Cartmell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Junk, son David Michael Junk , brother Richard Cartmell brother-in-law Samuel Junk, and nephew Joseph Cartmell. She is survived by her twin daughters Carole (Donald) Neff of Chillicothe and Cheryl (Stephen) Spears, of London; grandchildren Amy Spears of Columbus, Amanda (Eric) Zizelman of Milford, and Scott (Amanda) Neff of Chillicothe; great grandchildren Zoe Neff, Maya Zizelman, Evan Zizelman and Cora Neff; 2 sisters-in-law, their husbands, numerous nieces and nephews and childhood friends, Norma Walley, Louise Funderburg and dear friends Ruth Morningstar and Robert Andrews. Maxine was a beautiful seamstress and had an avid interest in antique linens and antique toy stoves. She partnered with her husband in an antique toy business - Junk's Toys for many years. They enjoyed traveling to the International Toy Show in Chicago every year and attending auctions. We would like to thank Eaglewood Care Center for the care and attention they gave her in her final days. In keeping with her wishes, a private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to her favorite charity, Open Hands Free Store 1131 Sunset Ave. Springfield, Ohio 45501. Arrangements are being handled by Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.
