Thomas C. Kohli

Thomas C. Kohli, Sr. 65, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, April 02, 2016 in Oakwood Village surrounded by his family. He was born January 9, 1951 in Springfield, the son of Wilbur C. and Norma (Pooler) Kohli, Jr. Tom was a 1969 graduate of North High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 97 in Springfield and Local 168 in Dayton, served as City, County and State of Ohio Plumbing Inspector and worked 23 years at Navistar. Tom was also a member of Northridge United Methodist Church, St. Andrew’s Lodge #619 F & AM and Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton and was an avid animal lover. He is survived by his mother of Springfield; wife of 46 years Beverly (Overholser) Kohli; son Thomas C. (Michelle) Kohli, Jr. of Massillon, OH; two daughters Sarah R. (Jeremy R. Seifried) Kohli and Margaret C. Kohli both of Springfield; two sisters Sharon (Dr. Arthur) Sleeper of Martinsville, VA and Nancy (Keith) Riehl of Cincinnati; three grandchildren Ryan and Courtney Kohli and Tom Tinker; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. St. Andrews Lodge will hold Masonic services Monday at 7:45 pm. A funeral service to honor Tom’s life will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the memorial home with burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
