Thomas Raymond Heckman, Sr.

Thomas R. Heckman, Sr. 87, formerly of New Carlisle, unexpectedly passed away, Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Violet Heckman on August 16, 1937. He graduated from Chaminade-Jullienne High School in 1955. Tom loved WWII vintage aircraft, model trains and vintage and muscle cars. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 20 years. He retired in 1993 from Bosma Machine and Tool. He is survived by his children, Rhonda L. (Bruce) Roth, Thomas R. Heckman Jr., Stephen Matthew (Judy) Heckman, Sr.; grandchildren, Chastidy, Charles, Stephen Jr., Christopher; many great grandchildren; brother, Paul Heckman and many other relatives and friends. Along with his parents is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Bonita Lee Heckman; siblings, John Heckman and Charlie Heckman. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 4pm- 6pm at Trostel, Champman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 209 W. Lake Ave., New Carlisle, OH. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.
