98, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 in New Carlisle. She was born November 9, 1918 in Clark County, Ohio the daughter of the late Phillip & Hazel (Bower) Kaffenbarger. She had been employed at the Springfield Credit Bureau and Edward Wren Company. She was a 4-H Advisor for several years and crocheted & knitting. She was a member of the Donnels Creek Church of the Brethren. She is survived by a son, David L. Young; two daughters, Marilyn Baily, Sharon Young; grandson, Jerry Baily; brother, Roger (Lorna) Kaffenbarger; sister, Norma Jean Hoberty; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert Young; a sister & five brothers. The family would like to thank the staff at DayView Nursing Home for the loving care she received. Visitation will be 11 -1 PM Monday, November 28, 2016 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 1 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
