Tammy Lynn Beckett

Tammy Lynn (Sweeney) Beckett, age 58, passed away on July 19th, 2024, in Dayton, OH after a sudden illness. She was born on August 3rd, 1965, in Dayton, OH to Frank and Judith (Fox) Sweeney of New Carlisle, OH.

Tammy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Todd Beckett, her father Frank Sweeney of New Carlisle, sister Sheryl (Jimmy Sung) of Columbus, daughters Allicia Beckett and Ashley (Jason) Davis, and grandchildren Kayla, Emily, Ethan, Jeffrey, Abbigail, Christian, Gabriel, Cambrianne, Crystal, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Rose, Asher & Amirah. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and her beloved dogs, Molly and Zoey.

She was preceded in death by her son Michael Sweeney, Mother Judith, Grandparents, Elvin & Opal Fox and Kenneth & Freda Sweeney, and Nephew, Andrew.

Tammy loved her family fiercely and was known for her passionate nature, which endeared her to everyone she met. She dedicated her career to helping others, excelling in Human Resources, especially/specializing in benefit management at Rittall North America in Urbana, Ohio.  An adventurous spirit, she enjoyed riding her motorcycle and achieved her Iron Butt patch in August 2023, traveling 1000 miles in 24 hours with her friend Sarah. She was a devoted supporter of her grandchildren, enthusiastically cheering them on in sports, FFA activities, fishing, and all aspects of life.

Tammy's zest for life and her unwavering love for others touched many. She never missed an opportunity to express her love and appreciation for those around her. Tammy will be deeply missed, and her legacy of love and adventure will continue to inspire all who know her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 9:30-11:30 am at First United Methodist Church of New Carlisle, 220 S. Main St., New Carlisle.
