Sylvia Joyce Durst

News Death Notice



DURST, Sylvia Joyce 80 of Springfield went home to the Lord on January 15, 2016 in her residence. She was born in Rome, Ga on August 22, 1935, the daughter of Kenny J. and Ruby Kilgore. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Durst; son Kenneth G. Durst; and grandson Robert Edward Greenway Houser. Survivors include daughters Brenda (Donald) Colligan, Karan E. Durst, Cheryl (James) Pidcock, Janice Coyle and Jeannette (Robert) Kesl; brothers Doyle Kilgore, Kenneth Kilgore and Floyd (Barb) Kilgore; sister Alvis (Burt) Davies; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was a member of Northside Baptist Church where she was a faithful to the homebound ministry and she leaves behind many precious friends that she considered her family. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A service to honor Sylvia will be Wednesday at 10:00AM in the Northside Baptist Church 2425 Derr Road.
