Sharon Ann Nicewaner Finch
(written by Sharon herself)
The journey is complete. I have joined my loving family and my Poottie dog, Aspen, and am in the loving presence of The Lord God Almighty. The wife and soul mate to Thomas Lee Finch, the Love of my life. The daughter of Elmo D.E. and Hazel Nicewaner. The sister of Dallas E. (Sharon Rose), Myron G.(Sandra Kay) and Delores (Marvin) Phillips. I leave behind two daughters. Shelly (and Todd) Altman of Havana, Florida and Holly Noel Ortman of San Antonio, Texas; 9 grandchildren: Nicole, Brittney, Brian, Victoria, Hannah, A.J., Abigail, Craig and Katie. I also leave behind several great grandchildren who are the apples of my eye and a host of nieces and nephews who each and everyone has a special place in my heart. Then there are the remaining aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins and my very best lifelong friend Linda Reed Dabe. Last but not least are my many friends at The Wal-Mart on Bechtle Ave. I was born (and raised) in Springfield, Ohio on October 28, 1944. I attend and was baptized at the First Christian Church. I attended Springfield High School and held down several jobs in the area. I sold cars and trucks for Ford and then Chrysler for 15 years, worked at Sun America, and then Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart was my passion for over 20 years where many of my very special friends remain. I passed peacefully at home in my sleep the evening of October 24, 2023. I am preceded in death by my parents, Elmo and Hazel, my brother Dallas, my Godly brother Myron, my stepdaughter Peggy Rice and my life long best friend Carol Jean Ryan. I will be remembered by family and friends at Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home on October 30th from 12PM -1PM with a Memorial Service at 1PM with Marvin Phillips officiating, and my final resting place will eventually be Ferncliff Cemetery, but for now, my wishes are to be cremated and to remain at home with the Love of My Life, which is where I will always be.
Love,
Sharon Ann
