Sally L. Dennis

Sally L. Dennis, 76, of Springfield passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. She was born December 27, 1940 in Columbus, OH the daughter of William Torrence and Alta May (Young) Garlough. Sally was a graduate of Greenon High School and retired from the Speedway Store at Fairfield Commons. Sally was a member of Fidelia #12 Rebekah Lodge and was Past President of the Ohio Rebekah Assembly. She also had held many offices at the local level and served as a volunteer at the Ohio Pythian Home and the IOOF Home. Sally is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law Michael D. and Angela Dennis of Anna, OH, and Timothy (Darien) Dennis of Aurora, IL, and Christopher T. Dennis of Springfield; seven grandchildren Ryan Saba, Shaun "Cameron," Kristen, Braydon, Ryan, Kyle and Tyler Dennis; one great grandson Parker Dennis. She is preceded in death by her husband Clare Frederick Dennis in 1988. Visitation will be Friday from 6 - 8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Rebekah’s Lodge services at 7:45 PM. The service to honor Sally’s life will be Saturday at 10:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
