Sadie Marie (Kreitz) Douglas

Sadie Marie (Kreitz) Douglas age 95 of Brighton, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 12, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born the daughter of Samuel & Sadie Kreitz on February 28, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lloyd Douglas; infant sister Ruth Susanne; sisters Pauline Parish & Kathryn Rutherford; brother Sam Kreitz.  Sadie is survived by her beloved children Sue (Grier) Hill of South Vienna, Diana (Chris) Routzahn of Springfield, Carolyn (Michael) Liedtke of Illinois, & Paul (Marie) Douglas of South Vienna; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.  Sadie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, & friend.  She will be missed by all of those who love her.  Sadie was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was a member of the choir for over 80 years.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, & cooking.  The Christmas season was an important time of the year for Sadie, her family always looked forward to her Nussbikel which is a German pastry made during the holidays.  Most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Friends & family may call on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10AM – 11:30AM at Zion Lutheran Church 1500 Broadway Street Springfield, Ohio where a funeral service will be held at 11:30AM with Minister Keith Ward officiating.  Interment to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
