Ruth A. Ratliff

Ruth A. Ratliff age 65 of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  Ruth was born the daughter of Joel & Frieda K. (Clary) Eldridge on September 5, 1958, in Portsmouth, Ohio.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur R. Ratliff; brothers Mark, Joel, & Isaac Eldridge.  Ruth is survived by her beloved children, son Michael (Theresa) Ratliff of Springfield; daughters Amanda (Bobby Belew) Ratliff of Springfield, & Amber Morgan of Springfield; life partner Steve VanHoose; brothers Jon (Mickey) Eldridge, & Aaron (Missy) Eldridge; sister Joni (Virgil) Hakes; grandchildren Desmond, Charles, Chance, Nova, Echo, Ember, Lucas, Riordan, Lochlan, Declan, Brian Jr., Thomus, & Aarian; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.  Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, partner & friend.  She will be missed by all of those who love her.  Ruth enjoyed crocheting & reading Stephen King novels.  She was famous for her potato salad, and chocolate fudge at Christmas time.  Most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Friends & family may call on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 11AM – 12PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio where a funeral service will be held at 12PM with Pastor Ken Majors officiating.  Interment to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
