Ruth Jean Caudill

Ruth Caudill, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27th, 2025 in Springfield, Ohio. Born on January 7th, 1936, Ruth lived a remarkable life dedicated to her family, career, and passions.  Ruth spent her professional career in civil service, making significant contributions at NASA. She began her career at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), working with Dr. Lovelace. With his subsequent move to NASA, Ruth had the opportunity to continue her invaluable work alongside him. Her dedication and passion left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the field.  Beyond her career, Ruth was known for her love of travel. She found joy and tranquility spending time in Florida, the Bahamas, and California, creating cherished memories with those she encountered along the way.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Bethel Caudill, her brother Ron Caudill, and her brother-in-law Ron Cason. She is survived by her loving sisters Linda Cason and Brenda LaBonte, both of Springfield; special niece & nephew Lindsey LaBonte and John Folden.  Family and friends are invited to say a final farewell at Rose Hill Burial Park in Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am officiated by Pastor Dave Hill. Arrangements have been provided by Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.  Ruth's kindness, strength, and warmth will be deeply missed. Her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
