News Death Notice
BAUGH, Russell 85, of Springfield, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. He was born May 2, 1930 in Eubank, Kentucky, the son of Elza and Grace Ann Baugh. Russell was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a lifetime farmer. He was a member of East High Street Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder for many years. Russell loved the outdoors, gardening, wood carving and visiting with friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Woody and Leon Baugh; and a sister Hazel Smith. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Maurene Elizabeth (Boerstler) Baugh; sons Randy (Joanna) Baugh and Jerry (Myra) Baugh; brothers Thomas (June) Baugh and Danny (Mary) Baugh; a sister Wanda Childers; grandchildren Nathan (Dawn) Baugh, Jason Baugh, Kristen (Arick) Mittler, Kyle (Tara) Baugh, Erica (Adam) Smith, Korie (Devvan) Sharp and Kasey Baugh; great-grandchildren Sophia, Olivia, Emma, Eleanor, Wolfgang, Rufus, Isaiah, Ava and Emilie; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A funeral service to honor Russell will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the memorial home with Phil Grear officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum. The family would like to give special thanks to their friends at Oakwood for their loving care.
