Ronnie G. Hoberty, 65, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 following a lengthy illness. He was born August 28, 1950 in Clark County the son of Walter F. and Bessie (Putney) Hoberty. Ronnie was a 1969 graduate of Northwestern High School and retired from Navistar in 2001 with over 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and belonged to the American Fisherman’s Club and was a big NASCAR fan. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 45 years Carolyn J. (Mundy) Hoberty; his daughter Rhonda J. (Micenah) Hoberty; one sister Joyce (Bill) Herier; 2 sisters-in-law Norma Hoberty all of Springfield and Mary Hoberty of South Vienna; several nieces and nephews including Vickie Williams, who was special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law Robert and Joyce Hoberty, Jerry L. Hoberty and his twin Rick Hoberty. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 2:30 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service.
