Robert Edward Strobel Sr.

Robert Edward Strobel, Sr., 81, of New Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. He was born May 30, 1943, in Dayton, the son of the late Carl and Lillian Strobel. Bob was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He attended the Spoken Word Tabernacle. Bob was kind and loved his animals. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Strobel; sons Robert E. Strobel, Jr., and David Jones; brother Carl Strobel; and sister Mary Ann Schaaf. Bob is survived by his daughters Patricia (Mark) Denner, Jennifer (Ron Allen) Heeter, and Kristie (Hunter) Smith; brother George “Sonny” Strobel; grandchildren Melinda (Dustin) Durben, Brandy (Philip) Rench, Shawn Heeter, Bradley Jones, Shelby Daniel, Autumn Poland, and Blake Poland; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service to honor Bob will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 4:30 pm with visitation beginning at 2:30 pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
