ROBERT E. SIGLER

90, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016. He was born in Pike Township, Ohio on November 30, 1925, to the late D. Millard & Mary A. (Ramsey) Sigler. He was a North Hampton High School graduate, class of 1943. After high school, he assembled a herd of Registered Holstein Dairy cows and started farming. He was in the U.S. Army from 1954–1956, stationed in Kentucky & Hawaii. He worked as an Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker for over 70 years. He and his wife traveled to all 50 states and to over 30 countries around the world. He took pleasure in watching his grandchildren participate in sports and musical events. Bob served as a Pike Township Trustee for 36 years and was a member of the Clark County Fair Board. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathryn Sigler; sons Garrett (Stacie) & Walter (Cheryl); five grandchildren, Chelsey, Daniel, Benjamin, Jeremy & Allison; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Baker & Claretta Vance. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or Pike Township Fire & Rescue.
