Robert E. King

Robert E. King, 86, of Medway, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022. He was born September 28, 1935, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of the late Dwight and Effie King. Robert retired from Copey’s Butcher Shop. He loved family cookouts, traveling and baseball. When he was younger, he pitched softball for a local semi-pro team. Robert enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved fishing, often taking family and friends fishing to Larry Copenhefer’s Lake. Robert came to salvation as a teenager in Missouri and later loved going to church with his wife Linda and worshipping the Lord at North Huber Heights Baptist Church. He had a great sense of humor and beautiful blue eyes. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; son Clint King and grandson Cody Sharp. He is survived by his wife of 18 years Linda; daughter Robin (John) Wolfe; step-daughter Lily (fiancé Terry Christopher) Blair; step-son Anthony (Jeanie) Sharp; grandchildren Clint Wolfe, Chris (Kara) Wolfe, Samantha (Matt) Miller, Eric Blair, Jaelin Goins, Michael Sharp, Daniel (fiancée Missy Hart) Toledo, Jesse (Jolene) Toledo; great-grandchildren Liam, Autumn Lee and Nevaeh; brother-in-law Ronald Argabright. A celebration of Robert’s life will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM at North Huber Heights Baptist Church, 6193 Taylorsville Road, Huber Heights, OH 45424 with a gathering beginning at 11:00 AM at the church.
