Robert C. Greiner age 97 of Springfield, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ September 7, 2022. He was born October 29, 1924, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of William A. Greiner and Ruth (Krapp) Greiner. He graduated from New Moorefield High School, and the University of Dayton with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He served his country In the United States Army (Air Corps) as a Pilot during WW2 for which he was awarded numerous medals including the distinguished flying cross and 2 Purple Hearts. He worked at the William Bayley Company, and retired from Navistar International Truck and Bus Company, both in Springfield. Bob was an active member and servant of Restoration at Hillside (Church of God). Additionally, Bob served as a volunteer in the United Senior Medical Claims office, & at Community Hospital (Springfield). He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Donna June (Boggess) Greiner; sister Dorthea L. Greiner; brothers Donald G. & John H. Greiner; grandson Quinten R. Greiner. Surviving him are daughters Nancy L. (Rev. Kenneth) Fairbanks of Fairfield, Ohio, Polly A. (Joseph) Heskett of Springfield; son Rev. William A. (Robin) Greiner of Midland, Michigan; grandchildren Brian (Katie) & Eric (Jodi) Fairbanks, Emilee (Jeremy) Wheeler, Adam (Stacy) & Robert (Jessica) Heskett, Hannah, Josiah, Dietrich Greiner; great grandchildren Preston Graves, Lindsay Heskett, Molly, Kimberly, & Cody Wheeler, Sylar, Maxwell, & Reece Fairbanks, Charlotte & Chloe Fairbanks; numerous great nieces, & nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, September 11, 2022, 2PM – 4PM at RICHARDS, RAFF, & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Family, Church Family, & Friends are gathering to Celebrate Bob’s fruitful life at 11AM on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Restoration at Hillside Church 2021 Hillside Ave. Springfield, Ohio with Rev. Gordon Garrett presiding and following at 2:30 there will be a graveside service for the family with complete military honors at the Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Restoration at Hillside.
