Rev. Gary Lee Miller

Miller, Rev. Gary Lee, 72, went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2017 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 28, 1944, the son of Kenneth and Irma Miller. Gary was in the ministry for 45 years as a youth pastor, associate pastor and later served as senior pastor at the Home Road Church of Christ in Christian Union. He loved studying the Bible especially for his Sunday messages and singing gospel music. Gary was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He found great joy in youth ministry, including the youth trips. Gary retired from International Harvester as an assembler with 30 years of service. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengal’s fan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife C. Yvonne (Sheckells) Miller, whom he married June 26, 1964; children Kevin D. Miller, Deborah (Alan) Althouse, Gary Lee Miller, II and Greg L. (Heather) Miller; sister Marcella (Paul) Gray; close cousin Wilma Carlisle; grandchildren Brittany, Brandi, Kevin, Kendra, Hannah, Rebecca, Caleb, Josiah, Ashley and Savannah; great-grandchildren Aubree and Joseph; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services to honor Pastor Gary will be Wednesday at 1:00PM in the Memorial Home.
