Randall Earl Heidorn, 61, of Springfield, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born June 30, 1954 in Springfield the son of William Earl and Ethel (Race) Heidorn. Randall won a state competition in Science and Math and was awarded a scholarship in Electrical Engineering to Cleveland State University. He attended Cleveland State, then enlisted in the United States Air Force. Randall was stationed in Okinawa during the Vietnam War working on aircraft electronics. He retired from Air Force and was a member of Emmanuel’s Promise Church. He is survived by his daughter Kelly (Donald) Gragg; two brothers Jerry (Cheryl) Heidorn and Douglas (Peggy) Heidorn , all of Springfield; three sisters Deanna Heidorn Shelor of Hawaii, Elaine Heidorn Miller and Jill (James) Heidorn Lambert both of Springfield; a granddaughter Ashley (Dillon) Jones of Springfield; great granddaughter Sophia; nine nieces and nephews; fourteen great nieces and nephews; and special friends Lillian and Byron Press of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Randall’s life will be Saturday at 10:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Wally Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery with Military Honors.
