Rae Lyn Metz

Rae Lyn Metz 61, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away peacefully at home July 14, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born on July 16, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio to James Richendollar & Jane Powell. She was a 1979 graduate of Fairborn Baker High School and went on to work for 33 years at NASIC, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. In 1989 she married Terry Metz and they made their home in New Carlisle. She was an avid reader and loved playing games, especially winning. Rae was an animal lover and enjoyed her many pets over the years. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her. She is survived by her Husband of 34 years Terry Metz; Mother, Jane Powell; Aunt Pam Riffell, cousins, Jamie Rogers, Mark (Jenny) Riffell & Lori Huggins; step brothers, Lance (Emily) Powell & Gregory (Donna) Powell, and other relatives and friends. Rae was preceded in death by her father James, and her cousin Darren Riffell, her maternal grandparents, Bob & Marcella Greeny & paternal grandparents Ray “Red” & Gaynelle Richendollar.
