Phyllis (Hall) Williams passed away peacefully on Thursday March 6, 2025, her 88th birthday. Phyllis was born on March 6, 1937, in Hazard, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Elijah and Lizzie Hall. Over the years Phyllis had many hobbies including breeding toy poodles, having large saltwater fish tanks, having exotic birds and collecting porcelain dolls just to name a few. Phyllis leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Danny Williams; children: Jeffrey Hayes Sr., Walter Hayes, Ronda McDonald, and Fabian Williams; grandchildren: Heidi (Steve), Jeffrey Jr. (Amanda), Marky, Jessy, Christopher (Shonte), Marcus, Trey, Tearisha, Jacob, Michael, Cheyenne, Daniel, Noah. Great grandchildren Joshua (Makana), Gavin, Grant, Blake, Chy’Lin, Addison, Ezra; and great great granddaughter, Dawn.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Frank Hall, Ruth Peyatt, Steve Lovins, Kelly Hall, Elmer Hall, Herbert Hall and Don Hall; sisters and brothers in law: Robert Williams, Charles Williams, Donald Burns, Dorthy Howard, Mary Channels, Barbara Walker, Shirley Robinson, Sarah Williams and Sylvia Ames; grandchildren: Joshua Hayes and Shane Tucker.
Her family will greatly miss her honesty and sassiness that she brought to every conversation and interaction that was had. She was truly one of a kind.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Richards, Raff, and Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 E. High Street.
