Philip Wolford, 49, of New Carlisle, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. He was born on January 28, 1973, in Long Beach, CA. He was the son of Ernie and Theodosia Wolford. At his young age he traveled with family and lived in Colorado, Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, California, and lived in Illinois from 1979-1989. He attended multiple Baptist churches and was the leader of a BMX group from 1980-1986. Philip dropped out of school in the freshmen year to pursue a job offer for tree work. He later lived in Texas and settled in Ohio, where he worked for Miller Brothers for several years. Philip was a very talented man. He was an excellent driver, and he could roller skate. He would host and play in Pool tournaments at what is now Carmela’s pizzeria. He also was a fan of UFC, and Football, and he loved dogs and watermelon wine, and he was an impeccable friend to have. His favorite things to do consisted of watching new films, playing pool, but most important, he loved being a father, and spending time with his children, whether it was camping, watching movies, going out to eat, or cheering them on in their sport of choice. Preceded in death by his father, Ernie Wolford, his uncles Raymond and Bill Wolford, and his aunt Shirley Coleman. He is deeply missed by his mother, Theodosia Wolford; two uncles, Dave Wolford, Earl Wolford; Aunt, Sue Cardinali; brother, Ernest Wolford; cousins Josh Wolford, Rachael Heffner, and Sarah Maine; five daughters, Krystle Wolford, Mikayla Ashburn, Lacey Pike, Lilly Pike, and Kylie Wolford; two sons, Jacob Wolford and Caden Wolford; granddaughter, Annalise Bowling, and numerous friends. We will hold a celebration of their life at an undisclosed location on an undisclosed day. Burial in New Carlisle cemetery.
