MARTZ, Pearl M. 93 of Springfield died January 1, 2016 in Oakwood Village. She was born in Harrisburg, Ill on September 18, 1922, the daughter of William and Lulu Dillard. Pearl was a devoted housewife and mother. But during WWII she and her sister worked in the Crowell-Collier building airplane wings. She was a member of the Columbus Ave United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son Albert Martz, Jr; brother Lilburn Dillard; grandchildren Melissa Metzger, Cortney Martz, Ronald Martz, Jr. and Jeffrey Martz; great-grandchildren Jesse, Brooke, Ky'nel, Johnathon, Onyx and Rebekka. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert Martz, Sr and son Ronald Martz, Sr. A service to honor Pearl will be Tuesday at 7:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor Richard Johnson officiating. Family and friends may call from 5:00PM until time of services. Private burial will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
