Paul E. Taylor 71, of Springfield, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family, on June 13, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 7, 1953, to the late Charlie & Betty (Finfrock) Taylor. Paul grew up on a farm in Medway, raising and showing cattle, and met and married the farmer’s daughter Deborah Legge. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1971. After 10 years of farming, he decided to start his own business Taylor-Made Lawn Care which he successfully ran for 34 years. And while running the lawn care business, Paul & Deb also owned and operated The Donnelsville Mall from 1997-2004. Paul retired in 2016 and went on to become the Senior Consultant at Lakeland Golf Course in St. Paris. Paul & Debbie enjoyed going to cattle shows and watching their son compete all over Ohio. Paul was ecstatic when they won the Overall Grand Champion 4-H and FFA Market Steer Show in 2005 at the Clark County Fair. Paul loved to spend his Saturday afternoons watching The Ohio State Buckeyes Football games (without commercials) with his family. Paul was also a member of the Urbana and Indian Lake Moose Lodge. He loved to spend time in the barn, cooking on the smoker and enjoying the peace and quiet with his wife. Paul left a legacy to his family of the value of hard work. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Deborah “St. Deb”; children, Sarah Bowshier (Brandon), and Zachary Taylor (Shawna); grandchildren, Haley & Payson Bowshier, Maddox, Mason & Kayce Taylor; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin & Joy Legge, sisters in law, Sharel Barnhart (Jeff), Brenda Jones, Judy Legge, many nieces, nephews and many close friends, The Burns Family, Mark Hudson & Bo Shirk. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Muir & Evelyn Taylor; brother, Bill Taylor; and brother-in-law, Tim Jones. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeland Golf Course, 1772 Kiser Lake Rd., St. Paris, Ohio, on June 28, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Online condolences may be made at trostelchapman.com.
