Patricia Sue Whiting

Patricia Sue Whiting, age 77, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away on September 1, 2024. She was born in London, Ohio on October 19, 1946, to the late Russell and Elta Kitchen. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brothers: James and Lowell Kitchen, and her sister, Charlotte Steberl.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ken Whiting; son, Scott (Melissa) Whiting; daughters: Debby Whiting and Beth (Scott) Stein; grandchildren: Brandon (Lindsey) Flannery, Shannon Chapman, Ambika Shoemaker, Abbey Kidd, Daly Whiting, and Timmy VanHoose; great grandchildren: Mason, Isabella, Hunter, Paisley, and Raylen; sister, Carolyn Kitchen; brother, Donald Kitchen; special friends: Gerry Maier, Shirley Craycraft, and Ethel Ratcliff; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Pat was a graduate of North High School, class of 1964. She enjoyed reading, visiting the beach, camping at Shady Trails in Hillsboro, Ohio, and loving her many dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat’s name to The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
