Patricia L. Risner

Patricia L. Risner, 81, of Brandt received her wings into heaven on July 2, 2022. She was born in Loyall, Kentucky in Harlan County, the beautiful daughter of the late Jasper and Alice Goins. Patricia was a unique, wonderful, loving wife, mom, mother-in-law, caregiver, and #1 Granny. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved family cook outs, gatherings, fishing, crocheting and was a great southern cook. Patricia and her husband, James, spent many years wintering in Myrtle Beach, SC. James was her lifelong sweetheart and just recently celebrated their 64 ^th wedding anniversary. Patricia was loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband James, Sr.; children James (Kathy) Risner, Jr., Tim (Jane) Risner, Mark (Gena) Risner, and Jason (Barb) Risner; grandchildren James “Jimmy” Risner, III, Samantha (Evan) Kreider, Joe (Ashley) Risner, Jake (Lisa) Risner, Trent (Emily) Risner, Jescena (Caleb) Risner, Travis (Tye) Risner, Alainee Risner, Natalee Risner, Jackson Risner, and Aubree Risner; great-grandchildren Arianna, Austin, Cody, Katherine, Henry, and Malachi, with two on the way; brother Stephen (Joy) Goins; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Patricia is preceded in death by her grandson Ronnie Risner; nephew Mikey Goins; brother Mike Goins; sister Donna Sergent; and sister-in-law Kathy Goins. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. The funeral to honor Patricia will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
