Norma Jean Shaw09/19/34- 11/27/16
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Shaw, and her parents Fred and Esther Shaw. She is survived by her two sons, grandchildren, her two beloved cats, Tabby and Boots, and numerous relatives in Arkansas. Jean was an active square dancer all of her life, and was lucky at the casino and with scratch and win tickets. In Chickasha, Oklahoma, she and her late husband were avid square dancers. After moving to Dayton to be close to her son, Jim, and his family, Jean joined Gem City Squares, and she and Jim attended many dances and conventions. She also belonged to Grand Squares. She was a member of Bath Presbyterian Church in Huber Heights, and previously attended Faith Presbyterian Church in Huber Heights. A service will be held on Sunday, December 4 at 2:00 PM at Bath Presbyterian Church, 4624 Bath Rd, Huber Heights, for family and friends. Her family invites you to come in square dance attire to honor her memory and love of dancing. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. — Psalm 23:1-6
