News Death Notice
AMBUSKE, Norma Jean Went to be with the Lord and her beloved Charlie on August 19, 2015. Norma was a much loved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Born May 2, 1932 to Fred and Henrietta Bodenhorn in Fort Wayne, IN, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Charlie) Ambuske; her parents, and sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Don Miller. Norma has 3 sons, Michael (Bobbie), Patrick (Jackie) and Gregory; and 2 daughters, Paulette (Joseph) Kolakowski, Jr. and Beth (Eric) Roth. Norma leaves a legacy of 12 grandchildren, Christina Billias, Shelly (Scott) Isphording, Mike (Emily) Ambuske, Joy (Scott) Greene, Jim (Sarah) Ambuske, Joe Ambuske, John Ambuske, Matt (Kayla) Kolakowski, Jacob Kolakowski, Meghan Kolakowski, Spencer Roth and Hannah Roth. 9 great grandchildren, Grace, Bennett, Cole and Genevieve Ambuske, Erika and Gunnar Isphording, Eleanor and William Donelson Ambuske and Nolan Greene. Norma was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Carlisle for almost 50 years, volunteering many hours of service and serving as sacristan. Norma was fondly remembered for her peanut butter pie at church functions. Norma was a full time homemaker, wife and mother until her kids were in Jr. High School. She then worked part time at Stouder Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aide as well as at Bethel Local Schools as secretary to the athletic director and transportation director. She loved to serve and take care of others and, after retiring from Bethel, she volunteered as a day surgery concierge for 15 years at Dayton Children's Hospital. Our thanks go out to the caring people of Sterling House of Troy, Randall Residence in Tipp City, and Kindred at Home Hospice for their wonderful care of Norma in her last years. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday August 21, 2015 at the TROSTEL CHAPMAN DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, OH. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle. Burial will follow at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kindred at Home Hospice, Dayton, Ohio. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.trostelchapman.com
