Nora E. Shively

Nora E. Shively, 97, of New Carlisle passed away peacefully on September 8, 2016. She was born on October 21, 1918 in Clark County, Ohio, the daughter of Philip and Carrie (Siegler) Campbell. Nora was a resident of Dayview Care Center of New Carlisle and formerly of Grand Court in Springfield. She was a member of the New Carlisle First United Methodist Church. Nora is preceded in death by her husband Robert W Shively; a daughter Nancy Helser; and a sister-in-law Betty Campbell. She is survived by her daughters Ruth (Darrell) Sikkenga and Barbara (Jeff) Walls; a brother Ralph Campbell; grandchildren Tim Sikkenga, Jane Wesner, Kenneth Lincoln Walls, Neil Walls and Sarah Walls; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Emily, Nadine, Rose, Savannah, Gabriel, Nolan, Garrett, Parker, Finley, Lucy and Sam; nieces Rita Collins and Terry Gerber. Nora will be remembered by all for her loving heart, generosity, compassion, sense of humor and her unceasing perseverance. Her stories and laughter even on the last day of her life will be remembered by family and caregivers. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, with visitation beginning one hour prior to services.
