MIRIAM E. BEAMS

Age 91 years, 7 months, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed due to a final medical event on Wednesday July 5, 2017. She was born December 5, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late (Dr.) Samuel & Ms. Georgia (Redding) Ziegler. She is survived by two sons - Geoffrey A. and his wife, Pat Beams, Michael Beams. In extension she is survived by an older brother, Mr. J. Richard Ziegler; inclusive of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding deaths, in addition to her parents are an immediate family of several older brothers, Samuel & Paul Ziegler. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Russell R. Beams in 2006. She has been a faithful member of the Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, Huber Heights Ohio for over 56 years along with earlier service with the Methodist church at Fairview UMC Dayton, Ohio. Her service included many offices of service within the church. She completed a B.A. Degree at Otterbein College in 1948 and was involved within many post college activities. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church.
