Millie Irene Parks, 90, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in Hospice of Dayton. She was born August 7, 1926 in Springfield the daughter of Noah and Ruby (Stone) Rice and was a graduate of Springfield High School. Millie retired from the Kissell Company with nearly three decades of service and was a longtime member of Lagonda United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark A. and Cindy Johnson of Dayton; step son and daughter-in-law Robert B. and Deborah Parks of Springfield; step daughter Saundra Via of Springfield; two granddaughters Carly (Elias) Schlecty of Clayton, and Blake Johnson of Dayton; nieces Marla Smith, Pam Brown and Cindi Harter; and a nephew Kurt Rice. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Parks; brother Carl Rice; sisters Mary Louise Weber and Betty Tittle. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Kyle Kirchner officiating. Burial to follow in Vale Cemetery.
