News Death Notice

WATSON, Mildred "June" 88, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015. She was born February 1, 1927 in Springfield, the daughter of Harry G. and Effie E. (Poling) Sager. June enjoyed flea markets, garage sales and watching the Cincinnati Reds and golf. In her younger years she liked playing euchre, going bowling and spending summers camping at Indian Lake with her husband and friends. June also enjoyed watching her favorite show NCIS, which she never missed. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. June is preceded in death by her parents; husband Orlyn Dustin Watson; brothers Willard E. and Charles E. Sager; and a sister Erma M. Gordin. She is survived by her daughters Bonnie (Larry) Copen and Peggy Watson; grandchildren Jeremy Dustin Copen and Jennifer Lynn (Andy) Faust; great-granddaughters Adalynn June and Clara Elizabeth Faust; a sister-in-law Lucy McWilliams; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services to honor June will be Wednesday at 1:30 PM in the memorial home with Tim Mattern officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale of Springfield.
