Michael R. "Mike" Wells, 52, of Springfield passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 following a lengthy illness. He was born June 9, 1965 in Springfield the son of Glen E., Sr. and Mary (Myers) Wells. He is survived by his mother of Springfield; two sons Michael R. Wells II of Florida, and Bryant (Stephanie) Wells of Springfield; brothers Duyane (Cheryl) Wells, David Wells and Rick Wells; sister Becky Mills, all of Springfield; step brother Gene Wells of Middletown; step sisters Sandra Whaley of New Carlisle, Julia (John) Vanwhy of Hocking Hills, and Shelia (Robert) Leftwich of Ripley, WV; his former wife Candy Sherriff of Springfield; two granddaughters Savannah and Graceland Wells; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and his brother Glen Wells, Jr. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Mike’s life will be Saturday at 4:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Gene Kelly officiating. Contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
