News Death Notice

CALE, Merlin D. 86, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015. He was born on March 17, 1929 in Pleasant City, Ohio the son of the late Perley and Rosa (LaFollette) Cale. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Joanne Cale; two brothers, Forrest (Bomber) and Dallas; sister-in-law, Merle Cale. He is survived by his five children, Bob (Judy) Cale, Dale (Becky) Cale, Bruce (Ellen) Cale, Randy (Judy) Cale, Diana Cale; three step children, Laura (Tom) Kaffenbarger, George (Mary) Raffensperger, Sheri Hamby; grandchildren, Christine, Caroline, James, Paul, Mollie, Emily, Ethan, Ariane, Andrew, Jeremy, Ryan, Caitlyn, Justin, Leigh, Jennifer, Elizabeth, David, Nathan, Matt, Brandie, Joshua, Shelley, Daniel, and Aaron, and many great grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Wright Nursing and Rehab Center for their compassionate care of our Father. Visitation will be 11-12 noon Monday, July 20, 2015 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services following at 12 noon in the funeral home.
