Mary Jo Kile

Mary Jo Kile, 84, of Tipp City, OH and Phoenix, AZ passed away on September 23, 2023. She was born June 19, 1939 in Mineral Springs Township, NC to Dr. Malcolm Greer Stutz and Julia Agnes (Kelley) Stutz. She graduated from Princess Anne High School in June 1958 and then attended nursing school in North Carolina before getting married.  Nursing was a passion of hers and always came in handy with having five girls.   Mary Jo was many things, a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and throughout her life – lover of animals.  When she was younger, she enjoyed horseback riding, had a few cats, and always had a great passion for dogs, which she rescued many throughout her life.  She shared with her daughters many of her passions, sewing, crafting, and baking. She also enjoyed traveling, the ocean, and going out to eat.  Mary Jo is survived by her five daughters Nancy Lynn (Kile) Cooper and Paul Hawkins; Maryanne (Kile) Carnell and Mike George; Susanne Kile; Jane Elizabeth Kile and Pamela Spores; Kandis (Kile) and David Reiley; eight grandchildren - Tasha Marie Carnell, Vera Susanne (Batterman) Gross, Stephanie Anne Schinner, Brittney Morgen Carnell, Brittney Kile Cooper, Heather Kay (Spores) Kriens, Branden Glenn Cooper, and Kailee Brooke Carnell, and four great-grandchild Marissa Susanne Matus, Cameron James Lux, Paisley Harper Carnell, and Remi Jean Ellis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Kile, Jr., her parents and sister Margaret Ann (Stutz) Glaize, many other relatives, and her many fur babies. There will be no immediate services, she will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date with her parents in Wilmington, North Carolina.
